Zamorano University Campus, Honduras – May 22, 2025

Two major cooperation agreements were signed today between key institutions committed to advancing Honduras’ development. The National Electric Power Company (ENEE) and Zamorano University formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), while the National Investment Council (CNI) and Zamorano signed a Collaboration Agreement, both aimed at strengthening the country’s technical, educational, and productive capacities
The MoU between ENEE and Zamorano establishes a strategic collaboration aimed at enabling the implementation of the Energy for Education project — a 14.5 MWp solar photovoltaic plant whose energy sales would generate income to fund scholarships for underprivileged Honduran students.

Meanwhile, the agreement between CNI and Zamorano aims to boost investment in agribusiness, encourage academic and technical exchanges, co-host events, and identify innovative, high-impact projects that strengthen trade, innovation, and collaboration in priority sectors.
These partnerships reaffirm each institution’s shared commitment to building a more sustainable, competitive, and inclusive future for Honduras.
