Guatemala City, Guatemala - May 21, 2024.

In recent days, the president of Escuela AgrĂcola Panamericana, Zamorano, Sergio RodrĂguez Royo, undertook a tour of Guatemala, where he held fruitful meetings with strategic allies.
The main objective of this roadshow was to consolidate and expand Zamorano's collaborations in the country, thus promoting educational excellence and sustainable development in the agricultural sector.

Promoting Excellence in Agroforestry with MAGA: An outstanding visit was to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA). At this meeting, a collaboration was agreed upon to promote excellence in agroforestry through scholarship and training programs. This joint effort will enable students and agricultural professionals to acquire advanced knowledge and innovative techniques that will benefit the Guatemalan agricultural sector.

Strategic agreement with Unisource Group S.A.: During his tour, the rector also established a strategic agreement with the renowned company. This alliance seeks to promote professional development and open doors to quality education and employment for Zamorano students and young Guatemalan talent. The agreement includes opportunities such as internships, scholarships, ¨Trainee¨ programs and job fairs, creating a bridge between academia and the business sector.

Strengthening agricultural education with Banco Industrial Guatemala: Collaboration with Banco Industrial Guatemala was another crucial point of the roadshow. Thanks to the continued support of this financial institution, Zamorano can continue to strengthen agricultural education and promote synergy between the financial and agricultural sectors. This joint effort is fundamental for the region's growth and sustainable development.

Expanding projects with Banco Inmobiliario: During the tour, Zamorano and Banco Inmobiliario reaffirmed their commitment to education and technological innovation for agriculture. The expansion of this agreement will make it possible to benefit more students and develop projects that integrate cutting-edge technology into agricultural practices, thus boosting the sector's productivity and sustainability.

New scholarship programs with AgroAmérica: This partnership resulted in the launch of scholarship and continuing education programs for agricultural professionals. These programs are designed to connect participants with industry experts and provide them with advanced tools to advance their careers, contributing to the progress and modernization of agriculture in Guatemala.

Central AgrĂcola: Since the beginning of its partnership with Zamorano in 2018, Central AgrĂcola has demonstrated a sustained commitment to education and professional development in the agricultural sector. To date, this partnership has enabled two individuals to receive half scholarships financed by the Central AgrĂcola Fund, an investment fund designed to provide scholarships in perpetuity. This initiative not only reflects Central AgrĂcola's support for the academic training of new talent, but also its long-term vision to strengthen the agricultural sector by investing in education.

Presentation of the 2030 Strategic Plan and meeting with donors: The rector also took advantage of his visit to meet with Zamorano graduates at an ¨After Office¨ event, where he presented the 2030 strategic plan. During this event, he shared exciting projects aimed at educational excellence and sustainable development.

To culminate the tour, a meeting was held with donors, where the importance of each contribution to Zamorano's progress towards a greener and more productive future was highlighted. Deep appreciation was expressed to the donors for their continued support, which is vital to expanding educational horizons and strengthening the agricultural industry.

Zamorano reaffirms its commitment to quality education and sustainable development, and thanks all strategic allies for their valuable collaboration in this enriching tour of Guatemala.
